Our hotel is a Copan tradition, and
it was Copan's first. In 1945 Mrs. Marina Welchez and
her family opened their home to generations of investigators
and Maya enthusiast studying and visiting the marvelous
archaeological site. Gradually, as Copan’s fame
grew, so did our hotel. |
| Our well appointed rooms with air-conditioning,
ceiling fan, Cable T.V., hot water and direct dial phone,
are a great place to return to after a day full of adventure.

Honduran traditional cuisine and our refreshing swimming pool

It was constantly being remodeled
and rebuilt to accommodate the growing interest from
travelers from all over the world to visit the great
Classic Maya site. Today, Hotel Marina Copan is a modern
hotel, but it has not lost its original charm, as its
architecture and style zealously guard Copan Ruinas’
colonial heritage. |
