DISCOVER TIJAX

Tijax has beautifully canopied waterfront rooms, private bungalows and a marina. Nature lovers will be pleasantly surprised by the trials in our nature reserve. Flowers, ferns, orchids, bromeliads, butterflies and other insects are easy to see. We have over 70 species of trees and 330 documented bird species: falcons, kites, owls and hummingbirds being most common in our area.

See our rubber plantation and jungle reserve. Learn how rubber is farmed and processed from nursery to collection. Visit one of the few patches of primary forest left in the area and identify local medicinal plants and their uses, while experiencing breathtaking views of El Golfete and Lake Izabal.
